Submission Deadline:  Received at the Beaufort-Hyde Partnership for Children by June 18th at 5pm POSITION SUMMARY:  Prevent harm and promote optimal health in child care programs and to increase the capacity of child care facilities to provide a safe and healthy environment. Salary Range: $35,100 – $48,750 for 37.5 hours weekly MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Registered Nurse. Ability to present information effectively in writing and orally, and to communicate and work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.  Ability to accept and follow through on assigned responsibilities, as well as self-motivation to generate and act on own ideas.  Must be computer literate.  Must possess a valid North Carolina driver’s license. Preferred:  Bachelors Degree in Nursing, licensed as a nurse in North Carolina. Current NC Child Care Health Consultant Certification, Registered Nurse (RN), with at least five years experience in the health field (preferably child health) and Child Care Health Consultant certification.  Experience in programs serving young children and families in a non-profit or public human service agency.  RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete the NC state level training for CCHC certification, including any additional training required as part of the Transformation Zone grant work. Smart Start Receives Clean Audit Report

  Smart Start Receives Clean Audit Report: 11th Consecutive Year Receiving a “Clean Bill” of Financial Health  For the 11th consecutive year, The North Carolina Partnership for Children, Inc. (NCPC) has a “clean bill” of financial health, according to the Office of State Auditor.  An audit of Fiscal Year 2011-2012 activities found the organization was in compliance and had appropriate internal controls. In addition, in keeping with legislative requirements, 39 Smart Start local partnerships also were audited with no findings. Smart Start’s high standards of accountability were reaffirmed by the State Auditor’s decision to discontinue planned financial-related audits with a statewide scope. These audits were new and in addition to the biennial audits required by law. However, after performing seven (out of 76), the Office of the State Auditor informed NCPC that: “Our original plan had been to perform a financial related audit with a standard scope at all of the partnerships over a period of four years.
