HOME SUPPLY BOX CAMPAIGN

Our Home Supply Box Program promotes school readiness by ensuring that children in Beaufort and Hyde Counties are prepared to enter Kindergarten Fall 2007.  In May 2007, 640 rising Kindergarten students received 3 beginner pencils, a pencil sharpener, a blunt pair of scissors, 24 crayons, 8 washable non-toxic markers, construction paper, lined Kindergarten paper, a glue stick, four developmentally appropriate books, a list of Kindergarten Sight Words with a set of index cards to make flash cards, a resource guide for parents and a refrigerator magnet outlining behaviors children should exhibit before entering Kindergarten, housed in a durable plastic box with handle that can act as a work surface.

The Partnership Board and staff would like to thank the many supporters who have been listed on this website during the 2006-2007 fiscal year.  $13,000 was raised to help offset the cost of these boxes.  Your help will be needed again in order to provide 650 boxes for our rising kindergarteners for Fall 2008.

Please help our "bright Stars of tomorrow" by becoming a Star yourself.   These boxes, valued at $35 each, may be purchased "In Memory Of" or "In Honor Of" a loved one or as a tribute to an outstanding individual.
